Make an Amulet with Jude Walker

Jude Walker is a long-time Stitching & Beyond member.

With 30 years of crafting, Jude has a vast knowledge of techniques which she is able to offer in many different ways.  As a basket weaver for many years, Jude is able to see a bunch of fibres and know straight away what you can do with them. She finds it very satisfying and enjoys sharing her knowledge with others.

Make an Amulet

The focus of this mini-workshop is to make an amulet – an ornament or small piece of jewellery thought to give protection against evil, danger or disease. In many traditional cultures, amulets are worn for protection but in this workshop we will make one purely for decorative purposes! The feature image above shows a range of Jude’s amulets made from various fibres and beads.

•  Come along to enjoy this relaxed mini-workshop. If you are a speedy creator/sewer, please bring a work-in-progress so if you finish your amulet quickly you can spend extra time with us!
