The Spindle Tree’s installation in the Lightbox (Salamanca Arts Centre, 77 Salamanca Place, Hobart) is a “Looking Forward | Looking Back” over thirty years of creating beautiful fibre handicrafts, exhibiting craftsmanship and skills rarely seen. Classic as well as contemporary designs will be on display. From 7th May to 2nd June.
“Crossing Kingdoms” by Megan Fae & Jennifer Eyles (Sidespace Gallery, Salamanca Arts Centre, 77 Salamanca Place, Hobart) is a celebration of our visual and innate connection to nature. In particular, the unique ability of fungi to colonise decomposed organic matter will be a central thread throughout the exhibition of soft sculptures, wearable art, natural and recycled media, and paintings.
